Many foster parents like to select new families based on some very distinct criteria, and finding potential adopters can be tough.When posting a wanted ad in this forum, please include the following:

How many people are in your home, and how old are they? (please note: we do not condone adopting to persons under 18 years of age - if you are under 18, please ask your parent to post for you)
How many pets (if any) do you own, and what kind of animals?
Will your new pet be indoor, outdoor, or both?
What kind of animal are you interested in? Physical characteristics? Personallity?
How much time would your animal spend alone each day?
Where will your animal sleep?
Have you picked a vet to provide regular care for your new companion?
Are you willing to pay for your pet's spay or neuter surgery?
Are you willing to allow the foster or current owner to visit your home prior to the adoption?
How much are you willing to spend on an adoption fee?

By providing answers to these questions in your post, you will be more likely to find someone with the perfect pet for you.
Be very cautious when adopting any animal. NEVER send money by internet or mail if you have not seen the animal in person! NEVER adopt from anyone offering to fly their animal to you from another part of the world. Avoid scams by adopting locally.
